Remembering Marco
My precious Marco has been with me since he was a 2 month old wee little pup! 16 beautiful years together and he was by far the most charismatic, charming, feisty, and sassy little guy ever! Even after he became blind at 15 (losing both eyes) and deaf, he remained fierce and unstoppable, making heads turn everywhere he went! He brought so much love and joy to everyone who met him. His only job was to be cute and adorable and he exceled at it!
He continued to thrive in his old age and loved the outdoors, walking aimlessly, smelling and touching the grass, and soaking up all the sunshine he could. His favorite activities were stealing all the stinky socks he could find and waiting by my feet in the kitchen for any scraps I was willing to spare, even if it was a piece of lettuce! The little guy was hardly picky and ate absolutely everything. He also loved to speak his mind, making sure everyone knew he was there.
I will forever cherish all of our memories together. It's hard to describe the void and the pain that lingers from his absence now but I try to find peace in knowing that he had a long and beautiful life full of love❤️
